This was one of my first weddings! Holy cow! Just excuse the terrible quality that i’m almost ashamed to share but hey we all start somewhere. I wanted to set a goal to document every wedding I do no matter how long ago it was, and by doing so It can also act as a time-capsule showing how far I’ve come from this point.
Jen actually lived in Oklahoma when her parents found me to photograph her wedding. We never met prior to the wedding day or spoke on the phone so she had complete trust in her parents on this decision! The groom is also from the UK and flew over with the best man to get married in the states. When I first met Jen I knew we would get along right away. We both have that bold personality and the whole morning getting ready was very laid back. Her birthmark also makes her so unique because a portion of her hair was white. While photographing the guys getting ready Phil and his best man were so funny with their British banter. Every couple minutes was a new joke which lasted into the reception.
Overall Jen and Phil had a beautiful day and a loving family. They enjoyed their photos so much Jen even left a reviewed saying I made her feel like a princess!
Venue: Liberty Forge Resort
I love the wood in the reception area of this venue! I looks so great in the photographs and complements the lace in on the dress so well. The Chandeliers where also captivating and there was a little lookout area to get some shots from above.
Funny thing to note here…This wedding was in march and this specific year it decided to surprise us with a random spring snowstorm! Luckily it wasn’t too cold out.
